Updates, Story Club, and Plans

Just an update on the things that are happening. Because things ARE happening!

First of all, we have a new website. We’ll probably post here once in awhile, too, but eventually that will be the place to go. For future reference, http://www.promotionofletters.org

Second of all, we have regularly scheduled occurrences. Come!

Story Club!
Thursdays, 7 pm

Story Club is for writers and readers who would like to share their stuff. We have had essays, Dear John letters, ultimate blogs, digital memoirs, novels, comic books, and we are witnessing the development of Dr. Nostrum’s history. We are all nice people and we like to sit around and talk about books, writing, and MDPL. Please feel free to join us anytime. If you would like to donate a few bucks, we encourage that as well.

Weekly MDPL Meetings
after Story Club (usually around 8:30 pm)
Come to visit with the overworked board members and see how you can help!

Finally, Dave Eggers, the founder of the 826 writing/tutoring centers that we are striving to emulate, is coming to the Tattered Cover (LoDo) on Monday, February 18th to sign his latest book, What is the What. Please go support him, his book, and Valentino Achek Deng’s witness to the Lost Boys of Sudan. We are trying to convince Dave to come do something with us ….
